Many of our users use Softaculous to manage their WordPress sites so that they don’t need to memorize a wp-admin password just to login and manage their multiple sites. However, there are cases where clicking on the wp-admin link in Softaculous does not take you directly into the WordPress wp-admin, but instead fails to log you in.
This tutorial is for help with:
A) Fixing issue where your WordPress Installation does not show up in Softaculous
B) Fixing issue where logging into the wp-admin from Softaculous does not work.
If your WordPress website is not showing up inside of Softaculous, do the following
- First log into your control panel and then go into the Softaculous Auto Installer. Then, click on the WordPress Manager Icon:
2. Then, click on “scan”
Once you do this, your WordPress website will show up inside of Softaculous where you can now manage the site!
Fixing issue where logging into the wp-admin from Softaculous does not work.
If you’re unable to log into Softaculous wp-admin, please do all of the above steps but now click on “remove” installation (NOT Uninstall!).
After doing that, then click on Scan and it will find the installation for you and fix the wp-admin login issue as well
