By default in directadmin, if you want your users to check their email via roundcube, you have to use the URL theirdomain.com/roundcube. That could be a bit long, inconvenient, and if you come from a control panel such as cPanel you will be used to something shorter like “webmail”. In this tutorial, we will show how to change the URL for webmail access. To do that, do the following:

  1. Open the alias configuration file of Directadmin /etc/httpd/conf/extra/httpd-alias.conf
  2. You will see that the current alias for roundcube is “/roundcube /var/www/html/roundcube”
  3. Change that to:
    /email /var/www/html/roundcube

That’s it! Notice I changed it to “email”. You can change it to anything you would like such as webmail, mail, etc. Simply put in a support ticket with our team and they will do this for you if you would like https://www.webhostpython.com/billing/
